What’s tough about physical geography? One thing that students find hard about physical geography is the number of key words. Unlike human geography, where words like ‘population’ are in everyday use, key words in physical geography are only used in physical topics. One topic — rivers — has 28 key words that you might need to know for GCSE (see Table 1). That’s a lot to learn.
