A cleaner, greener Harrogate

The town is a Victorian spa town known for its fine buildings, shops and tearooms, and is the first in the UK to introduce electric buses on its routes.

With the government pledging to cut all greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, and with concern rising over pollution levels in our towns and cities, councils in the UK are looking for ways to provide us all with a cleaner environment. Linked to this is the need to move people quickly and efficiently into, out of and across our towns and cities.
