Ordnance Survey 1:50,000 Landranger maps are frequently used in geography lessons and may well appear as a resource in GCSE examinations. To show you are a competent geographer you must be able to demonstrate:

■ Your skill in reading the map. This includes your ability to read and quote grid references, measure distances, use contour lines and give directions.
