T he supply and production of energy in the UK is changing. Tried and tested methods with a dependence on coal are being phased out. The UK is becoming increasingly dependent on gas, nuclear power and renewable power.

Gas has to be imported from outside the UK, leaving us at the mercy of world markets. The price of energy is rising in this competitive marketplace. If the UK could provide its own gas supplies it would give us security, stability and perhaps lower prices.
