How should you revise?

Throughout school, you have doubtless been told many times to revise for tests or exams. Often students revise by looking at files, or reading through class and homework notes, or the course textbook. Revision is personal, because people learn in different ways, but have you thought seriously about how to revise effectively? Many students are told to revise but are not given guidance about how to do it. Try these five tips…

You’ll probably be taking nine or ten GCSEs. You’ll therefore need to make sure you know how many exams you are taking for each, how long each exam is, what each exam is going to test, and how many questions you have to answer. All this information is in the specification. Ask your teacher for a copy or download it from the exam board website.
