Many students put a lot of effort into revising case studies, so it is important to know how to use this information to get top marks. Gaining only 4 marks out of 8 could mean the difference of a full grade, so what should you do to succeed?

Figure 1 is a photo of Blackpool’s Pleasure Beach, the UK’s largest tourist resort. Each of its many attractions is there to help tourists enjoy themselves, to persuade them to spend money and to make sure they come back to Blackpool the following year. The visitor season at Blackpool has been extended in recent years by the turning on of the Blackpool Illuminations, which attracts tourists during the dark evenings of September and October, and the conference trade, which helps to attract big names such as the main political parties. More visitors means more jobs, and greater prosperity for the people of Blackpool.
