Foundation or Higher?

At some point during your GCSE course, you will discuss with your teacher whether you will be entered for the Foundation (F) or Higher (H) tier for your GCSE geography examination. This Improve Your Grade should help you to decide which tier is right for you.

The target grades for each tier are:

■ For Foundation tier, from U up to C. You cannot be awarded more than a C on Foundation tier. Most candidates do not expect to gain as much as a grade C on this exam.
