In October 2009 we went on a field trip to Birmingham to look at the redevelopment of its central business district (CBD) and whether or not this has been successful.
Before the field trip we looked for photographs of the city on the internet (using websites such as www.flickr.com) to get an idea of what Birmingham looks like and what new attractions are there. Many of the group had never been to the city before. We found that Birmingham has recently built many new iconic buildings such as Bullring, Symphony Hall and the National Sea Life Centre. The city now has attractions for all ages, from families going to the Sea Life Centre to mostly adults visiting Symphony Hall.
