I t is important to revise case studies, but as well as being able to answer the case-study parts of exam questions you need to make sure you get the marks on all other parts of the question. Dropping 1 mark on each part of the question can cause your grade to plummet. This Improve your Grade shows you how to make the most of exam questions that contain statistics in the form of either tables or graphs.

Examiners often use a question format to assess you on a topic. The first part of the question is designed to lead you into thinking about the topic. Examiners use a resource, or a stimulus, to do this. It might be a photograph, graph or diagram. It is there to help you think about the topic, and to assess your skills in interpreting geographical resources.
