How do I choose where to study sociology at university?

Follow our helpful guide on where to start and what to ask

Choosing the right university for you can take time. There are lots of things to think about: the course itself, the university’s location, the accommodation and other facilities on offer, bursaries and scholarships, and so on.

But you first need to think about your priorities. How close do you want to be to your family? Do you want to study in a large city, smaller town or on a campus in the countryside? What sociological topics interest you most? And how do you like to study and be assessed?
