Use this material to practise the skills required for the exams

This exercise gives you the opportunity to practise all three of the examinable skills in the new specifications. The questions below test your knowledge and understanding of some sociological concepts, e.g. secular, religiosity (AO1). You will also need to apply the evidence shown in Table 1 to answer particular questions (AO2). Finally, you will need to analyse and evaluate the data in terms of their validity and reliability, and whether they suggest that Britain is becoming more secular (AO3).

Before answering the questions below, take time to look in detail at Table 1 and also at Box 1, which gives an overview of the data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
