Can schools challenge religious divisions?

Few can be unaware of the deep religious divisions in Northern Ireland and the conflicts arising out of these. Can shared education offer a way forward?

Colin Knox provides an interesting description of the education system in Northern Ireland, something that students living in other parts of the UK may know little about.

The system has been referred to as a ‘benign form of apartheid’. Note that the pressures and reasons for a change to the system are educational, social and economic.
