Boethius

Boethius and the attributes of God is one of the most challenging areas on the Philosophy specification. Jon Mayled puts Boethius and his most famous work, De consolatione philosophiae, into context

Boethius, Anicius Manlius Torquatus Severinus (c.480–c.524 AD), philosopher and statesman

Boethius was a member of an old Roman senatorial family, the Anicii. He was consul in 510, and his two sons joint consul in 522.
