Maths matters

One aspect of AS and A-level psychology that surprises many students is the maths content of the course, and maths (for many people) tends to be like a famous yeast extract, you either love it or you hate it. Now if you love maths, this isn’t going to be a problem. But if you are more of a maths-hater, then this news might put you off reading this article, let alone studying psychology. But please don’t stop reading yet … I hope by the end of this article, even if you haven’t been converted to becoming a maths-lover, then these strategies will at least make you a little more ‘maths-tolerant’.

If you look at your psychology specification, there is a section near the end called ‘Mathematical requirements’. This table is exactly the same for all psychology specifications.
