When we think about questions on research methods, we usually think of shorter answer questions worth somewhere between 1 and 6 marks. Indeed, these are the most common questions on this topic. However, as the research methods section of A-level Paper 2 is a double-section worth 48 marks, there is often room for an extended question worth 9 or even 12 marks.
