Matt Jarvis gives us a run-down of the best online resources for psychology students. In this issue, he focuses on surveys — increasing your understanding of them and conducting your own

Now for the fun part. There are a number of websites where you can learn by taking part in psychologists’ surveys. I recommend these at the Social Psychology Network for a fascinating range of topics: www.tinyurl.com/bwxyof3. Another similar site is hosted by the Hanover University at www.tinyurl.com/ya3opfyp.

Be a little cautious though. With the best will in the world, those posting a survey may hit on a topic that is very sensitive to you personally. Survey hosting sites like those above may have varying policies as regards screening for ethics.
