OCR Section C scenarios

What is the best way to approach exam questions containing real-life scenarios? Sandy Latham offers her insights

In OCR psychology A-level exams and AS-level exams there is a focus on the application of your knowledge and understanding to unseen ‘real-life’ scenarios. In Component 2, the application is heavily focused on Section C — it’s even called Practical Applications.

A typical Section C question will have a ‘scenario’ which could be from any number of sources, for example a hypothetical (made up) research study, a newspaper article, an email or advert. The exam questions will require you to do the following:
