I am sure that you are familiar with using Google on the internet. However, are you familiar with Google Scholar? This free resource is easily accessible via the Google search engine by simply typing ‘Scholar’ into the search box. The page that this takes you to looks remarkably similar to the usual Google homepage…except that it is not. Instead, Google Scholar contains thousands of research articles that have all been peer-reviewed by academics so that you know that you can trust the source.

These ‘seven top tips’ for using Google Scholar have been successfully used by my students, so why not have a go yourself. You will be surprised how quickly your grades (and your teacher’s feedback on your work) improves.
