Prosopagnosia is a condition where people cannot recognise faces though their vision is unimpaired. Recently, neuropsychologists have realised that prosopagnosia or ‘face-blindness’, while being caused by rare brain damage, can also be a developmental condition. Famous individuals such as Brad Pitt, Duncan Bannatyne, Jane Goodall and even Oliver Sacks have recently suggested that they have always had difficulties in recognising other people’s faces.
