This article discusses the AS assessment objectives and how students can maximise their marks in an essay that combines AO1, AO2 and AO3

You would expect your psychology exam to test the full range of written skills and abilities. For the purposes of assessment, these skills are grouped into three categories, known as ‘assessment objectives’.

Note that this article focuses on the new specifications for teaching from 2015 onwards. The assessment objectives are different from the current A2.
