Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) has the largest evidence base of all forms of psychological therapy. The National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) considers CBT the treatment of choice for a number of mental health problems, including posttraumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depression and obsessive compulsive disorder.
