Minority influence

Consolidate your learning with activities that will enhance the article you have just read. Paul Humphreys asks the questions

1 Minority influence is often subsumed in A-level specifications within the overall title ‘social influence’ (within social psychology). It would be a good start for you to ensure that you are happy — and confident — with the different types of social influence that tend to be covered, e.g. majority influence, minority influence and obedience to authority.

A good website to visit to help you in this is Keith E. Rice’s ‘integrated sociopsychology’ which for this topic can be found at: www.tinyurl.com/clrh72n. This is a click and drag site so have a good look around, but focus in particular on the entry linked to the minority influence bubble.
