Targeting OCR questions

In this column, we invite experienced examiners to offer you invaluable advice to help boost your performance in the exams. Molly Marshall homes in on OCR exam questions, but the advice she gives here is relevant to all boards.

With the exams fast approaching, this Exam Corner will help you assess the types of questions that appear on AS and A2 papers. By breaking down the questions into their rewardable parts, you will maximise your chances of gaining the best grades.

During your GCSE revision, you had to learn a great deal of information and then demonstrate in the exams that you could remember it. In effect, your brain was like a jug full of facts that you ‘poured out’ in the exams, and as long as you remembered these facts you could do quite well.
