A2 psychology

In this column, we invite experienced examiners from the various exam boards to offer you invaluable advice to help boost your performance in the exams. Simon Green considers the most recent A2 examinations.

We have now had the first sittings of the AQA (A) A2 Units 3 and 4. As expected, students showed a range of strengths and weaknesses. There have also been a couple of changes to the physical procedure involved in the examination. Students worked on the new examination booklets for the first time. In addition, all scripts are now marked online. What does this mean for you?

With online marking each individual question is separately scanned in and sent to the examiners. Each question is marked by a different examiner. This means there is absolutely no opportunity for examiners to ‘mentally’ credit material from one question to another.
