A methodological overview

The world of ever-increasing internet-based communication offers exciting opportunities to psychological researchers. Here, Mark Griffiths introduces and evaluates methods of online data collection.

Over the last decade, there has been an increasing amount of psychological research carried out online. In this article I examine the utility of online data collection by drawing from the experience of a number of studies carried out by our research unit at Nottingham Trent University and I provide material that can be used to critique and evaluate online psychological research studies. I also give you material to aid critical insight into studies that you have read about in your specification that used online research methods.
