Many students performed well in the exams last summer; how did they do it? This column gives you some pointers and tells you how to avoid common mistakes.

The exams for Units 1 and 2 both begin with multiple-choice questions. These are easy to answer, but being nervous or rushing can affect your judgment. Remember to answer every question. Put a big star beside any questions you miss out, so you can return to them later. If the question asks for two choices, be sure that you mark two and two only.
