To what extent do non-state and sub-national actors play a role in addressing challenges arising from climate change?

Global governance and environmental concerns are covered in Unit 3 (Global politics) of the Edexcel specification.

Adominant focus for those concerned about climate change has been the actions of states and especially their level of commitment to international agreements, such as the Paris Agreement. Nonetheless, the response to climate change requires and demands an approach that goes deeper than just the actions of nation states.
