Global governance and environmental concerns are covered in Unit 3 (Global politics) of the Edexcel specification. However, questions could appear in any section, and if a question on global governance appears in Section B, you will need to refer to core (conservative, liberal, socialist) thinkers.

Global governance requires international cooperation between sovereign states.Environmental issues have been subject to intergovernmental policies (most notably under the United Nations, which is the world’s most powerful intergovernmental organisation, IGO). Supranational policies have been enforced over nation-states by organisations like the European Union. EU legislation addresses a number of environmental issues, including air quality and sustainable energy.
