The 9-mark questions on Papers 1, 2 and 3 are all similar. They all begin with the words ‘Explain and analyse’ and all require you to focus on three points. The main challenge is ensuring that you have enough in-depth knowledge to answer all three questions.

In the 9-mark questions there are 6 marks available for knowledge and understanding (AO1) and 3 marks available for analysis (AO2).
