When first elected in 2008, part of Barack Obama’s election platform was ‘Hope and Change’. His best-selling book which outlined his political vision was even entitled The Audacity of Hope. Now, well into his second term, the promises and hype look somewhat forlorn. This side of the debate will argue that in a wide range of areas, President Obama has proved to be too cautious and thus disappointed the millions of Americans who voted him in. So, where has the caution been most evident?
