Success at A2 US politics is partly a matter of obvious factors such as thoroughness of class notes, interest and aptitude, and the quantity and quality of your revision. However, there are also some more specific pieces of advice that can help you to maximise your performance whatever your ability and approach to the subject.

Make sure you know the style and format of each paper. Get hold of past papers if you have not done so already but beware of ‘question spotting’ or predicting what might come up next year. You can get past papers from the AQA website (www.aqa.org.uk), except for the most recent papers which are only accessible to schools and colleges, as they are often used for mock exams.
