In October 2019 the Carnegie Institute for Science in the USA announced the discovery of 20 small moons orbiting Saturn, each about 3 miles across. They were discovered using the Subaru telescope at the Mauna Kea mountain-top site in Hawaii Astronomer Scott Sheppard and colleagues analysed images taken over several years and found faint dots of light orbiting Saturn.
