Acceleration Where does it all end?

Where does it all end?

I remember being taught at school that velocity is the slope of the displacement–time graph and acceleration is the slope of the velocity–time graph, and wondering if the slope of the acceleration–time graph had any meaning…

The terms in bold link to topics in the AQA, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC and CCEA A-level specifications, as well as the IB, Pre-U and SQA specifications.

A calculus description of motion graphs and their gradients helps us to examine and understand the relationship between the various graphs. Together with the application of Newton’s laws of motion, this enables us to explore situations where the acceleration is non-uniform.
