Solar events

The solar activity cycle, or sunspot cycle, has a period of about 11 years and we are approaching the time of maximum activity, which is due in spring 2013. This Physics online looks first at links to information about solar activity, which not only tell us what to expect, but will be good places to find information.

In November 2012 there will be a solar eclipse. It won’t be visible from the UK but it’s well worth visiting the websites that we have recommended.
