All the AS and A2 specifications contain a list of the same 12 How science works statements that you should understand. In this column we look at the HSW statement:

An ethical issue is concerned with whether a human action is morally right or morally wrong. It is considered good to behave in an ethical way, and actions that are not ethical may be considered evil. An ethical question is one that can be phrased: ‘Is it right to...?’ Some examples of ethical questions on which almost everyone would have the same answer are:
