Netball is an invasion game that requires speed, power and quick decision making. As a Superleague netballer, it is important for me to have a balanced diet. Playing at an intense level weekly, I need to ensure my intake includes the right combination of carbohydrates, minerals, proteins, fats and fibre. These help ensure I can put in a quality performance in every game I play, making the right decisions for the full 60 minutes even when my body is fatigued.

An elite athlete is derived through physical, technical and psychological components. There are athletes who achieve excellence at both national and international standards, and elitism requires many different aspects that combine together to achieve ‘excellence’, such as training, rehabilitation, nutrition, strength and conditioning, and many others.
