Rugby league is the number one sport in Australia. It is particularly popular in the states of Queensland and New South Wales, where 11 of the 14 Australian National Rugby League (NRL) clubs are located and almost every child dreams of becoming a rugby league star.

I was once one such kid and was lucky enough to be able to achieve my goal and play for 10 years as a professional rugby league player for three different clubs in Australia. I then came to England and played for Castleford Tigers in the Super League for 3 years.
