Theories of personality and motivation are an important part of the sport psychology sections of all major exam board specifications.

Imagine sitting in your current or future job and somebody comes along and offers you double or triple the salary for less than half the work. A no brainer. When LIV Golf came along offering this deal to the world’s top players you would imagine that every player took them up on the offer. However, while some players immediately jumped at the opportunity, many golfers opted against these lucrative deals. Why is this the case and why has LIV Golf caused so much controversy?
