Specialist training and energy systems

Anna Snook looks at the effects of specialist training on energy systems

The AQA, Edexcel and OCR specifications expect you to be able to analyse and evaluate the benefits and drawbacks of each energy system in training and sporting contexts.

Two topics that link across more than one of the specification areas in A-Level PE are specialist training methods and energy systems. Linking topics is one way that exam boards use to award marks for assessment objective 3 (AO3, analysis/evaluation). Here, we will summarise the main points for each training method and link each method to the relevant energy system.
