Many top-level players have made their name as ‘hard-men of football’ by being overly physical and on occasions overly aggressive.
Footballers have been known to ‘attack’ on the field of play for a variety of different reasons, whether in retaliation against a refereeing decision, the verbal abuse of a fan, or the delaying tactics of a ball boy.
