The new linear A-levels require you to apply knowledge, rather than merely learning concepts and theories by rote. In terms of A-level physical education, this means that you must be able to recall knowledge, explain it through sporting examples and analyse the effectiveness of the theoretical concepts in relation to the question set. Additionally, you are expected to answer in continuous prose, use good English, organise information clearly and use specialist vocabulary where appropriate.
