Non-examined assessment (NEA) at A-level: AQA

Ross Howitt takes you through what you need to do in your coursework

Whether are you doing the full 2-year A-level course or just AS, your practical activity (whether performance or coaching) and the resultant analysis coursework that goes with it will be chosen from the official activity list shown in Table 1. Whether you decide to perform or coach, your assessment must be done in a fully recognised version of the activity — with the exception of climbing (on an appropriately challenging rock face) and dance (formal show environment). Most of the references in this column will not be to climbing or dance.

Performance or coaching is marked out of 45, with an analysis and evaluation task also being worth 45 marks. The final mark is out of 90.
