Ross Howitt looks at the AS concept of feedback, exploring how this topic area has been and can be examined

Feedback plays a vital role in any sport at any level, informing players about how well they have performed. Performers can receive information during performance or after they have finished. However, it is important to understand that the feedback given/received must be appropriate to the performer and to his or her stage of learning.

As part of the AS examination, feedback can fall into short-answer Questions 3 and 4 or be part of the Question 7 extended answer. To establish the demands of the question you must understand the context of the question and the command words.
