Being Jessica Ennis-Hill

Ross Howitt describes a typical training day for Olympic champion Jessica Ennis-Hill, and gives an overview of her sponsorship and endorsement commitments

Should Jess stick with the heptathlon, or focus solely on the 100m hurdles?

Jessica Ennis-Hill is the current Olympic heptathlon champion. At the age of 14 she made her mark in athletics by winning the high jump at the Girls AAA Championships, clearing a height of 1.70 metres.

Ennis-Hill’s transition from young athlete with potential to Olympic champion has largely been successful, although she has suffered injury on a number of occasions. After London 2012, an injured ankle hampered her ability to train and compete.
