The Edexcel A-level coursework is worth 20% of your final A-level result. You will need to complete two essays, both of which are marked out of 25. This article focuses on ‘The middle east and the Arab–Israeli conflict c.1900–2001’, and the significance of different individuals and events throughout the conflict.
The word count for the essays is strict. You will be penalised for exceeding the total word limit of 4,000 words. Examiners are, in fact, required to stop reading your essay at the 4,000th word. You must state the word count at the end of each assignment. Footnotes and appendices do not count towards the final word limit.
