Using a research library

Take your A-level work to the next level by getting more from library resources

Most sixth-form students will be familiar with their school or college library. But there is a wealth of further excellent library resources out there — many close to home. Using a research library may appear intimidating but will help improve your A-level essays and projects as well as preparing you for university study.

The best place to start is your own school or college library. Your librarian will have a lot of contacts and ideas to help you make the most out of using other libraries and resources.
