The most important points to remember when answering questions on the utility of sources are to respond explicitly to the enquiry in question and to use the content and the provenance of the sources in your discussion. Utility questions ask you to consider how useful the sources are for the enquiry in question and you must reach a judgement on this on the basis of your source analysis. Unsupported assertions regarding the utility of the sources will not be rewarded.
Finally, even if there is no specific reference to contextual knowledge in the question you should use your contextual knowledge to help you interrogate the typicality of the sources or support your judgements on the utility of their content and provenance.
