Medicine through time

David McGill focuses on the range of material that is available on the internet on medicine through time

The GCSE ‘Medicine through time course’ is so wide ranging in its timescale that there is a huge variety of resources available online. As always a good place to start is with the BBC. The GCSE Bitesize website at www.tinyurl.com/329q2z8 links to some good television resources at www. tinyurl.com/hlz45az.

There are some other more generalised sites that cover the topic too. Some of the better ones can be found at www.tinyurl.com/jl9y77t and at www. tinyurl.com/hdfhv2u and also at www.tinyurl. com/j7htdcs. A good brief survey of the history of medicine can also be found at www.tinyurl.com/ h6ex2nv.
