1 Look at the information in Source B. What does it tell you about when the League of Nations might have been at its most effective and ineffective?
It was a great idea in theory. After the carnage of the First World War, it was decided to set up a club where the different countries of the world could come together to discuss their problems. This club — the League of Nations — would prevent disputes from escalating into another world war.
