This Question and Answer takes a look at some AQA-style examination questions. They are based on the November 2020 Paper 1, Section C Hazards, part of the physical geography exam. The questions are focused on physical processes, data analysis and evaluation skills. They test all three Assessment Objectives used in A-level geography. The focus here is largely on tectonic hazards, which is covered by other specifications (see Box 1), although questions styles and mark tariffs do vary. The exam comments are the responsibility of GEOGRAPHY REVIEW and have neither been provided nor approved by the examination board. The answers given are not the only possible answers.
